Minnesota Dietetic Association (MDA) is an affiliate of the American Dietetic Association.  Currently, there are approximately 1600 members.  

Membership is limited to Registered Dietitians (RDs), and Diet Technicians, Registered (DTRs), those eligible for these classifications, students, and retired members. 

Membership in MDA is granted automatically through your annual membership renewal in the American Dietetic Association.

The state is divided into five districts.  The Twin Cities District Dietetic Association (TCDDA) is the largest district within the Minnesota Dietetic Association.  The other districts are Northwest (NWDDA), Head of the Lakes (HLDDA), South Central (SCDDA) and Rochester (RDDA).

Wednesday, March 10 is Registered Dietitian Day - Registered Dietitian Day was created by the American Dietetic Association to increase the awareness of registered dietitians as the indispensable providers of food and nutrition services and to recognize RDs for their commitment to helping people enjoy healthy lives.
